While it appears that the University of Guelph will remain open today, we have decided to cancel both the morning and afternoon Third Age Learning Guelph lectures today.

Both speakers were from out of town and it would have been a long and risky drive for them to get in.

Also since the snow is so heavy we did not want members to be at risk trying to get to the lectures.

We will try to reschedule the lectures at another date.  Further information about that should be available in a few days.

All those who have ordered tickets prior to today are guaranteed tickets.

There are still some tickets available for both the Morning and the Afternoon lecture series.  Please book soon.

The registration form for Third Age Learning - Guelph winter 2013 lecture series starting 16 January 2013 is now available on line.

Also, for those on our mailing list, you will be mailed a copy of the new brochure which includes a registration form.

The AM lecture series is:  What is the European Crisis About?
The PM lecture series is:  Local Guelph History

In Dr. Rosenberg's lecture "The Challenges of Modern Israel as a Jewish-Democratic State" he presented an excellent summary of key aspects of Israel from Biblical times to modern day.  He then summarized Israel's position on modern day issues plus he presented an amazing list of Israeli accomplishments in education, science and technology.
